Wirrimanu Aboriginal Corporation exists to service and benefit the Traditional Custodians of the Balgo community, the Tjurabalan People, and the Kukatja, Walmajarri, Jaru, Pintupi& Warlpiri language groups within.

Day visitors are welcome to visit the Art Centre and the community store and 24hr fuel station without a permit.

All other visitors coming to Balgo for community interaction, work and overnight stays do require a permit.

Visitors are asked to respect the privacy of the community and keep to the main road, please do not use bush tracks or enter the bush areas around Balgo as these are no-go areas for cultural reasons.

During a pandemic, proof of Negative test results on the day of your arrival are essential.

Wirrimanu AC manages ‘The Lodge’ accommodation and income from this enterprise supports our operations for the community.

We also offer a range of services, facilities and equipment to support your work trip.

Please be aware: Visitor restrictions may be applied by community leadership, authority directives, due to seasonal air/road conditions, customary and ceremonial activities and by the limited availability of Wirrimanu services, facilities and equipment.

Community leadership reserves the right to refuse visitor entry to Balgo.

Use the permit booking form to request a Balgo Entry Permit. If you require accommodation or any of our other visitor facilities use our accommodation booking service.
